Resurrection of Christ - 2010
By the old tradition God-loving people who had come to celebrate Pascha shortly before midnight filled the small monastery church, yard and nearby streets in expectation of the Feast of all feasts - Bright Resurrection of Christ. For years monastery of St Constantine and Helena does not remember such a great number of people who had arrived for the SolemnPascha Holy Liturgy. And when iconom Stoyan Mahleliev, the Father Superior of the monastery, and ierei Stoyko Naydenov, singing the antiphon Thy Resurrection Christ we sing and glorify, stepped ahead with the Blessed Fire, they could hardly make their way for the traditional procession.
After the Holy Gospel was read in front of the church, the congregation was greeted both in Bulgarian and Romanian, due to a lot of pilgrims form Romania who had assembled there.
The Solemn Pascha Holy Liturgy was a real Feast of the Victory – the Victory of Christ.
After it God’s people thanked God. The solemn table which was laid was a pleasant surprise for the Romanian guests. And the serial miracle in the holy Cloister happened: after the initial usage of English, later on the communication was through the Holy Spirit, everyone was speaking his native language and that was not an obstacle to understand each other.
Christ Has Risen! Indeed He Has!
